Richary Mallory
Richard Mallory was the owner of Clearwater, Florida electronics repair bussiness. He was 51 years old. His only constants were alcohol, sex and paranoia. He was known to go missing for a few days and not show up to work so when he didn't show up it wasn't a big deal. It wasn't until his 1977 Cadillac was found a few days later outside Daytona that anyone knew anything about him missing. On December 13, 1989, two young men were looking for scrap metal along a dirt road close to Interstate 95 in Volusia County, Florida. They found a body wrapped in a rubber-backed carpet runner. They call the police and the investigation starts. They carefully take fingerprints of this guy wrapped in a carpet runner, and the fingerprints identify that this was Richard Mallory's body. He had last been seen 13 days earlier, but when they found his body he had been shot three times from a .22. Months of investigation and they still had no real leads. The iniciial suspicion revolved around a stripper that went by the name of Chastity. Chastity had told her boyfriend she was gone for a few days to party with Richard Mallory and that she was the one who had killed him. The investigators arrested Chastity, only to realize that her "confession" was prompted by a burst of anger at her boyfriend and was not true. After a number of dead ends, Mallory's case eventually went cold.
